The CIS SCM-8M1 is a compact 8MP color AI smart camera designed for embedded vision, robotics, inspection, AI image processing, object recognition, tracking, surveillance, medical imaging, intelligent traffic, and OEM machine vision applications.

Built around NXP Semiconductor’s i.MX 8M Plus application processor, the SCM-8M1 can support both traditional rule-based image processing and edge AI workloads such as object recognition and object tracking. This makes it a strong choice for vision systems that need onboard processing instead of relying entirely on an external host PC.

The camera features a 1/2.8-inch Sony IMX715 rolling shutter CMOS sensor with 3860 x 2190 effective pixels and up to 30fps at maximum resolution. Its compact and lightweight design, USB3.0 interface, M12 lens mount, and optional HDMI / 1000BASE-T Ethernet interface board make it flexible for industrial, embedded, and AI vision system integration.
