The CIS SCM-EVS1 is a compact AI smart camera featuring Prophesee’s EVS Event-Based Vision Sensor and the NXP i.MX 8M Plus application processor. Designed for advanced machine vision, robotics, security, motion analysis, and high-speed inspection applications, the SCM-EVS1 captures scene changes as events rather than traditional full-frame images.

Unlike conventional frame-based cameras, event-based vision detects only changes in brightness at the pixel level. This enables extremely high temporal resolution, reduced data bandwidth, strong performance in challenging lighting, and fast response for motion-driven imaging tasks. The SCM-EVS1 is well suited for applications such as spatter monitoring, droplet detection, high-speed motion capture, intrusion detection, harsh lighting surveillance, robotics vision, and intelligent sensing systems.

With USB 3.0 connectivity, a compact 65 x 48 x 40 mm body, M12 lens mount, and optional HDMI / 1000BASE-T Ethernet support through an interface board, the SCM-EVS1 provides a flexible embedded vision platform for OEMs, AI developers, automation engineers, and machine vision integrators.
