The KT&C KLU38-L thermal block camera delivers high-accuracy infrared imaging in a compact, integration-friendly format, ideal for OEMs and embedded system developers. Powered by a 384x288 QVGA resolution uncooled LWIR microbolometer sensor (17μm pitch), this module captures pixel-level temperature data across 110,592 points with high thermal sensitivity and low NETD. Supporting a broad spectral range of 8–14 μm, it is engineered for precision monitoring, even in low-contrast thermal scenes.

Multiple image output formats are available — CVBS, BT656, and LVDS — allowing seamless integration into both legacy and modern digital pipelines. With selectable 9Hz or 30Hz frame rates at the manufacturing stage, it supports compliance with regional export regulations while still delivering real-time thermal data where required. Startup is rapid (<5 seconds), and the unit operates reliably across harsh environmental conditions from -30°C to 60°C.

Digital and analog image controls include AGC, Level & Span, NUC, mirror/flip/invert, and customizable thermal color palettes (10 total, including Iron, Fire, Rain, BlueRed). Manual or motorized focus lenses are supported, with athermalized lens options available upon request. Designed for system integrators, the KLU38-L supports RS-485 OSD menu control (analog only) and proprietary KT&C protocol, making it an ideal candidate for custom thermal camera solutions.
