Integrating professional block cameras into embedded AI systems has traditionally required complex workarounds due to mismatched interfaces. The MIPI-CSI2-EV eliminates that challenge by providing a clean, reliable bridge between LVDS-based block cameras and modern MIPI CSI-2 host platforms.
This high-performance board converts LVDS video output from leading block camera brands—including Sony FCB series, KT&C, Wonwoo, Tamron, and others—into a 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 signal compatible with NVIDIA Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin Nano, and supported carrier boards.
Built for real-time performance, the MIPI-CSI2-EV supports Full HD 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, maintaining the low latency and signal integrity required for AI inference, object tracking, and machine vision applications.
Beyond video conversion, the board integrates VISCA camera control via an onboard I²C-to-UART bridge, allowing direct control of zoom, focus, and exposure from the host system—eliminating the need for external control hardware.
With its compact 50 × 50 mm footprint, regulated 12V input, and industrial-grade design, the MIPI-CSI2-EV is well suited for deployment in demanding environments including robotics, UAV systems, defense imaging, and industrial automation.
